How can we live in peace while hunger robs others of theirs? Do we not have a social responsibility to come to their aid? The Hunger Project is there where others have failed.

As a veteran Peace Corps volunteer in Turkey and Iran I came to believe that it is our duty to find ways of bringing people together, of celebrating cultural differences and of assuring that social equality is a right and not a privilege. The more I read of The Hunger Project’s successes, the more optimistic I am that people can and will come together; the more I believe that others will have a brighter future.
